Redundancy Coaching Package

You’ve been made redundant and need to get a new job

You’re worrying about getting your next job. The idea of working on your CV, applying for roles and selling yourself in an interview is daunting. It’s hard to motivate yourself to spend dedicated time on all of this. You want to know that everything is going to be ok.

I understand how you feel

Even if the redundancy hasn’t come as a surprise, you may feel a real sense of loss and worry. Your confidence in yourself and abilities can start to drop, despite the fact that you know the redundancy was because the business had to make cuts (or close down) and not because of your performance at work.

From helping so many people cope with their redundancies and move on to a positive future, I know and understand that the feelings of rejection and disappointment that often surface. If you would like me to help you with the practical steps needed to get your next role, I will do this with sensitivity and care. You will feel completely supported throughout your job search journey and you will learn how to show companies that you are exactly the person they are looking for.

Why I can help

In my previous career as an HR and Recruitment professional I had extensive experience of recruiting for a wide range of jobs ranging from Graduate to Director level. I was used to writing and posting the details for job vacancies, screening CVs, training managers in interview techniques, conducting the interviews with them, advising on who should be offered each job and making the job offers to the successful applicants. This means I know exactly what companies are looking for when they have a role to fill and I can share this knowledge with you to help you get the role you want.

I’ve been using this knowledge (and constantly adding to it by staying on top of the latest recruitment trends and learning about CV writing and LinkedIn in depth) to support 100s of people successfully move onto their next roles after being made redundant.

Frequently Asked Questions

I spent three years writing interview-getting CVs as part of my career coaching offering. It was taking me an average of 8 hours to write each CV and I had to make the difficult decision to stop offering this service because I didn’t have the capacity to keep up with the demand and continue with my coaching (which is what I am most passionate about). So, although I no longer write CVs, I use my experience of CV writing to support you with writing yours. I have created CV templates, written and video ‘how to’ guides to share with you to help you create a stand out CV. I can also spend one-to-one time with you to help you edit and improve your CV.

Your investment in your future by booking the redundancy coaching package is £750. This includes all 5 sessions, a Gallup Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment, ‘how to’ guides, career resources and email support in between sessions (as and when needed).

The total cost for coaching and mentoring programmes is usually paid for before the first session takes place. If you would like to spread the cost, this is no problem at all. Just let me know and we can arrange for you to pay across two or three monthly instalments (whatever works best for you).

If you have been made redundant, your company might offer to pay for you to have support finding your next role. If they haven’t already offered, it is worth asking them because they might pay for some or all of the cost. If they agree to pay, I can send them an invoice for the service, instead of you having to pay me yourself.

I’ll make sure that we prioritise spending time on the things that are most important to you during the sessions. When we’ve finished all of the mentoring sessions, if you decide you would like to continue having help, you can book one-off individual sessions at a cost of £150 per hour (or £75 for half an hour).

I can give you all of the support you need to find your next job and do well in your interview. However, ultimately, I can’t actually get the job for you. It will be down to you to do the work and follow through needed to get your next role.

You can choose to have the sessions at my home office in Banstead, Surrey (which has free parking), at my office in Croydon, south London (a 10 minute walk from both East Croydon and West Croydon stations), or remotely by Skype.

If there is only one thing you need help with, you can book a one-off session with me at either £150 per hour, or £75 for half an hour. If it is just interview support that you are looking for; I offer this as a separate service.

Let’s Get Started

Kevin McKay
I unexpectedly found myself out of work, for the first time in many years. In my late 50’s, and unfamiliar with the way the job-seeking process works today, I realised I needed help from someone with experience and understanding. Working with Fay helped me to rebuild my confidence and recognise that I still have a value in the workplace, and transferrable skills. She helped me manage the journey from loss of employment, to finding a job which gives me the chance to change direction into more fulfilling work, whilst also utilising my skills and experience. Fay is caring, warm, empathetic and sympathetic, genuinely interested in her individual client’s needs and understanding of their insecurities. She makes lovely coffee too!

Jenny Glen, Office Manager
I was made redundant from my last job after 13 years of employment. To be back in the job market after such a long time was scary and daunting. I didn’t even have a CV. I was recommended to Fay who took me under her wing and helped me create my CV from scratch, provided useful interview techniques and generally built up my confidence. I’m happy to say I managed to secure a lovely new role in just under two months. This would not have been possible without Fay’s help, enthusiasm and professionalism. Massive thanks!

Alex Broadway, Marketing Communications Executive
After being made redundant, I went to Fay for help rewriting my CV and to improve my interview technique. She gave me a lot of confidence and optimism about my skills, my ability to get my next job and to keep progressing in my career. The re-written CV had an instant impact. After registering it on various job boards, I found myself approached by recruiters asking me to apply for roles that were exactly what I was looking for. The interview coaching helped me make a good impression during the interviews and feel more confident describing my strengths, experience and ambition. I quickly found a new role, working for a great company, with a higher salary and more responsibility than my previous job.
