Helping you to get your next job
You need to get a new job and want some expert advice
You’re worrying about getting your next job. The idea of working on your CV, getting your LinkedIn profile up to scratch, applying for roles and selling yourself in an interview is daunting. It’s hard to motivate yourself to spend dedicated time on all of this. Maybe you’ve been applying for roles but haven’t been successful, even though you know you would be a great fit for them.
I understand how you feel
No matter what the reason is that you’re looking for a new job; it can feel stressful. If you’ve been made redundant, you may also be trying to cope with feelings of loss, anger and worry. If you’ve had a career break and are trying to return to the workplace, your confidence probably isn’t as strong as it used to be. Or, if you’re simply ready to move on and leave your current job behind you, it can be daunting knowing how to make the best impression on paper, on screen or in person.
Don’t worry, I’m here to help
Using the knowledge I have from my previous career in HR and Recruitment, combined with my Career Coach and Executive Coach training, I’ve helped hundreds of people move into their next roles and I’d love to help you too.
In-person or online career coaching
No matter what your question, or worry about getting your next job is, I can help. Choose between a quick 30 minute coaching session, a longer 1 hour slot, or an interview coaching package. If you aren’t sure which option is right for you, or you would like to talk to me before going ahead, please feel free to get in touch by email, or book in for a free 20 minute via my Contact Me page.
All career coaching sessions can take place at my home office in Banstead (Surrey), or by video call (using Skype or Zoom). Video calls work really well if you would like me to help you write or edit your LinkedIn profile, CV, or covering letter ‘live’. I can easily share my computer screen with you, so that you can see the changes I am making and learn how to make further tweaks on your own if you’d like me to.
Other areas we can focus on are interview techniques, confidence and the best way to find your next job.
Frequently Asked Questions
I spent three years writing interview-getting CVs as part of my career coaching offering. It was taking me an average of 8 hours to write each CV and I had to make the difficult decision to stop offering this service because I didn’t have the capacity to keep up with the demand and continue with my coaching (which is what I am most passionate about). So, although I no longer write CVs, I use my experience of CV writing to support you with writing yours. I have created a CV toolkit containing my most successful CV templates, with step-by-step video tutorials that teach you how to create a stand out CV by yourself. Once you have written your CV, I am very happy to review it for you and make tweaks and edits, to make it the best it can possibly be. If you’d like me to help you polish your CV for you, just send me your CV and I can recommend whether a 30 min or 1 hour session is needed.
The number of coaching sessions I would recommend will completely depend on your personal circumstances and what you would like to have the coaching for. It’s my goal to get you to where you need to be as quickly as possible. If you only need a 30 minute or 1 hour session, that is absolutely fine. If you feel like you would benefit from several sessions, that is also no problem at all. I’m here to support you as much, or as little as you would like me to. Please feel free to get in touch with me to discuss your situation and I can give you advice on the number of sessions that may be best for you.
Just click on the ‘book now’ button (above) for the coaching service that you would like to book in for. This will take you straight to my calendar, where you can book in for a time and date that is convenient for you. When completing the booking you will be asked to pay by credit or debit card.
If you have been made redundant, your company might offer to pay for you to have support finding your next role. If they haven’t already offered, it is worth asking them because they might pay for some or all of the cost. If they agree to pay, I can send them an invoice for the service, instead of you having to pay me yourself.
I can give you all of the support you need to find your next job and do well in your interview. However, ultimately, I can’t actually get the job for you. It will be down to you to do the work and follow through needed to get your next role.
You can choose to have the sessions at my home office in Banstead, Surrey (which has free parking), or remotely by video call (using Skype or Zoom).

After being made redundant, I went to Fay for help rewriting my CV and to improve my interview technique. She gave me a lot of confidence and optimism about my skills, my ability to get my next job and to keep progressing in my career. The re-written CV had an instant impact. After registering it on various job boards, I found myself approached by recruiters asking me to apply for roles that were exactly what I was looking for. The interview coaching helped me make a good impression during the interviews and feel more confident describing my strengths, experience and ambition. I quickly found a new role, working for a great company, with a higher salary and more responsibility than my previous job.
I was made redundant from my last job after 13 years of employment. To be back in the job market after such a long time was scary and daunting. I didn’t even have a CV. I was recommended to Fay who took me under her wing and helped me create my CV from scratch, provided useful interview techniques and generally built up my confidence. I’m happy to say I managed to secure a new role in just under two months. This would not have been possible without Fay’s help, enthusiasm and professionalism. Massive thanks!
I unexpectedly found myself out of work for the first time in many years. In my late 50s and unfamiliar with the way the job-seeking process works today, I realised I needed help from someone with experience and understanding. Working with Fay helped me to rebuild my confidence and recognise that I still have a value in the workplace and transferrable skills. She helped me manage the journey from loss of employment to finding a job which gives me the chance to change direction into more fulfilling work, whilst also utilising my skills and experience. Fay is caring, warm, empathetic and sympathetic; genuinely interested in her individual client’s needs and understanding of their insecurities.
